Our Vision

The vision of Prophetic Art Ministry is to awaken creativity within every person.  Not only do we want to share the visions and words we receive from God with others that are seeking his will, but we also desire to equip people to create and activate their imaginations to fill this world with artistic expressions inspired by the Holy Spirit.

We encourage everyone to explore their God-given creative nature and experience the joy of partnering with God.

We hope that prophetic art inspires the following:

  • You will be encouraged to listen to God and respond through art
  • You will learn how to activate your imagination on a daily basis
  • You will become someone who inspires others to activate their creative identity

How is prophetic art different from “regular” art?

A prophetic art piece is any creative expression that leads people to have an encounter with the heart of God. It is about allowing the Holy Spirit to guide the artist in all steps of the process from forming the original idea, design, or sketch to the unfolding of it on the medium. Prophetic art is not about achievement, skill level or the finished product but rather about the process of gaining intimacy with God. As a result the focus is on knowing and understanding the Father’s heart and communicating it to others.

Why do we paint in worship?

We believe worship can be expressed through many different forms including painting. We desire as artists to listen to God and ask Him what He is doing in the service and then to represent it on the canvas. Our hope and desire is that people sitting in the sanctuary will connect with God’s presence in the painting and be inspired to find their own creative language with God at home and in the marketplace.

How can I get involved?

One of our dreams as a group is to see prophetic art spread across the world in churches, businesses, the entertainment industry, families, schools, etc… Having training in the visual arts is not necessary to be a prophetic artist, but being able to discern the voice of God and be obedient to his word is absolutely crucial. Pray with the leaders at your church and ask if they would be open to supporting a prophetic art ministry. If you would like more information on how to do this, please write to us using our ‘Contact Us’ page in the top navigation. We have several books and activities that we can recommend to anyone thinking about moving into this unique and beautiful relationship with the Lord. You can also book our artists to paint at your church, worship, or ministry event. If you are a member of Coast Christian Fellowship, please see the church website for more information on how to get involved locally.
